This is John Galt Speaking | A Montage of Modern History - John Galt was a protagonist in Atlas Shrugged, disenchanted by a world of political favoritism and a self-righteous "brother-love" morality. After years of government intervention, programs, and directives, which had been instituted under the guise of altruism and in opposition to greed, John Galt asks viewers to re-evaluated their faith. He asks listeners to question those in power, who use their political influence to take the fruits of those who produce and give them to those that demand. If they are so moral, why do profits still end up in the hands of the greedy? Is it the increased involuntary distribution of profits and successes a more moral way to promote goodness than voluntary charity? If it is immoral to keep the benefits of your success, is it not immoral to receive that which you have not earned?
