We the Living, by Ayn Rand - Vlog Review - Lemongrass and Coconuts

Sorry that I got a little off track when talking about Andrei v. Leo. What I was getting at was that she stayed with Leo, who treated her like crap, and left Andrei, who was sweet and adored her - even though she seemed like a woman with relatively composed self-respect. Russian culture at the time of Rand's childhood really reflected those values, and she doesn't seem to think it strange that Kira would choose to stay with someone like that. Her Russian culture is generally nonevident in her writings, due to Rand's general distaste for cultural traditions and values, so I thought it was interesting that it reared its head on this topic.
